That's Ti West's next movie, his follow-up to The House of the Devil, and I am not afraid of it because of however scary a film it might be, but because Devil was such a pleasant surprise that I'm nervous for him to follow up that buzzy little thing, lest he stumble. I want him to do good! But we've been down this path often enough that it makes us nervous. Although I doubt what I'm feeling can come close to what he's feeling. What am I talking about? STYD has word that The Innkeepers will be playing at SXSW in March. So I suppose we'll see what they think of it there and where it all goes from there. Stay tuned! Good luck, Ti! Did you like "Cabin Fever 2"? He went for something completely different than what he did in "The House of the Devil", and I think he was successful at it.
I didn't like Cabin Fever 2, and I'm using the excuse that the studio wrenched it away from him and it didn't end up the movie he wanted to make as an excuse for not counting it as fully his. It had a couple of moments that I remember taking a shine to - and yeah, it is indeed completely different that HoD, that's for sure - but mostly no, not up my alley.
