I Am Link

I was in the middle of this link-post this morning when the blog went bang and I lost everything but these five stories. It was going to be much larger but I don't have the spirit in me to go find all the links I had prepped for this again... that part of me died. DEAD. But these shouldn't go to waste at least.

--- Tron Pron - I'd been hoping that Garrett Hedlund started out in less than skivvies when he pixelated into his Tron-self, but that appears to be a wish too far. Still, he looks good (he always looks good) even if I want more (I always want more).

--- Reese In Pieces - In the latest issue of EW Reese Witherspoon says she hasn't worked so much lately because superhero and giant robot movies are all that's being made and there just ain't no place for her in those movies. And here I'd been keeping my fingers crossed that one day I'd see a giant robot step on her face. Sigh!

--- Cue Darkness - Final Girl reviews the remake of And Soon the Darkness with Amber Heard and Odette Yustman and (swoon) Karl Urban and finds it mostly lacking. Sight unseen myself I had the feeling it might not translate well from its time period (here's my review of the original); part of enjoying the 1970 version was knowing to wind your mind backwards to when it came out, and judge it by those standards. It's very much something we've seen many times in the years since and if they didn't really manage to change things up enough from the original, which is how it sounds, then there really wasn't a point. Although a lot of people seem to appreciate the bikini parade so perhaps there was a point... boobs, that is. Boobs.

--- Corset Carnage - Anne Hathaway and James McAvoy already got their Jane Austen on once before for Becoming Jane, so it's with amusement that we find them possibly taking the leads in Pride and Prejudice and Zombies for Mike White (still haven't wrapped my head around him directing).

--- And finally, Joe did this week's Fringe. Check it.
