... which I had a mixed reaction to, was this scene with Aaron Tveit as James Franco's boyfriend Peter Orlovsky and our boy Jimmy Franco as the poet Allen Ginsberg. The movie needed more of this, and much less of the animated sequences. I don't just say that for gratuitousness sake - this is the bread that Howl was buttered upon. Allen Ginsberg didn't just talk assholes. He lived them.

Speak on it brother! 'Howl' the poem was a goddamn hymn to homosexing, yet somehow 'Howl' the movie ended up 1/3 courtroom drama and 1/3 cartoon.
And with those sexy actors game to get into character (i.e. each other's pants) ... missed opportunity doesn't begin to describe it...
