A very very very happy birthday going out to Elisabeth Shue today. It's been at least a decade since I've had the balls to sit and watch Leaving Las Vegas. It's just too hard to watch. Gotta make amends on that count and watch it soon. Shue so deserved that Oscar. It's not that I didn't enjoy seeing her shoot fanged fish in Piranha 3D, but it'd been nice if she got some other, meatier work occasionally. How welcome was her face in Hamlet 2 and Mysterious Skin? They need to forget about a remake of Adventures in Babysitting and just give us a sequel.
