I need to admit to a current weakening of my resolve. I've been feeling a need to have at least the slightest understanding of such a cultural behemoth as stands the Twilight films. I'm never gonna be reading the books - fuck yourself, Stephanie Meyer - but I will probably sit through the by-all-accounts-that-I-trust terrible films at some point. SIGH. At least Robert Pattinson has grown sort of charming in interviews lately so I feel a little less annoyed. Like here, read what he has to say about how Courtney Love crowed about how wrong he is to play Kurt Cobain when that rumor was going around:

My stance is that as long as I don't put any money into the Twilight machine then I can feel good about myself. I have a niece who fills me in should I feel what you are feeling. So far I've only seen the 1st movie. Someday I'll happen upon a copy of the new stuff and wonder why I cared again.
Joe Anderson is Cobain, and I resent him for faking out like he did in the misleadingly-titled The 27 Club.
I like this Pattinson dude, he was in How To Be, which is kind of awesome, and he was in that Potter movie where shit got real, and he seems reasonably aware of how awful the Twilight franchise is, and he's British.
