Every time I hear something about the young actress Emma Roberts I remember this story I heard ages ago about how her father, the disgraced one-time-pretty-boy Eric Roberts, was pissed off that his sister, the didn't-really-die-of-diabetes Julia Roberts, was encouraging his daughter to act. He didn't want her to, supposedly. Famous family drama!

Well she's making a go of it, father be damned! She's just been cast in Scream 4 as Jill, which according to EW is perhaps maybe a "final girl" sort of part in the first part of what will maybe perhaps be a new trilogy. I don't think I've ever seen any of her previous acting excursions though so this means nothing to me. Could be good, could be bad, they just better not hurt my Sidney!

Anyway let us just take this opportunity to mourn how sleazy-hot Eric Roberts was when he was young, mkay? Sigh.
