My favourite movie of all time, and I'm so pleased that Melanie Lynskey has been getting some solid supporting work recently. And it's still Kate Winslet's best performance for my money.

Yay! That's my friend Jean playing Orson Welles in that masterpiece. He ended up playing Orson more than once. He showed me tons of pics from the shoot and a good two hours of behind the scenes footage I never saw on any dvd. And once when he was out with my sister, Crispin Glover recognized HIM. That whole experience brought alot of joy into his life. His passion for film is incredible, glad to see him on one of my favourite blogs.

Ben I adore the movie too, and I'd been waiting for so long since this movie for the world to get around to giving Melanie Lynskey, so fucking phenomenal, the attention she deserves and the roles she's been getting lately have been so satisfying. She was SO good in The Informant and in Away We Go last year.

Ms Scrappy that is such an awesome story! Tell your friend he rules! This scene's one of my faves in a movie full of them.

I love Melanie, I do, that perfect person, but in that picture, she looks a bit like Orson Welles.

I love the mild look of disgust on Kate's face.
