Garbage never put out a bad album. I have "fanned" Shirley on the Facebooks...she's fun to keep up with.

She was in Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, where she proceeded to be awesome. That is all.

I was never able to get into that show, Simon (although I did hear it started getting wicked cool right towards the end) but I did see the clip of her morphing out of a fucking urinal, and for that, my life is so much richer.

Oh and shaun I totally agree that their entire catalog is incredible. But V2.0 is my fave. I wish I'd seen them live! Dammit why'd I have to be so poor back in the day?

One of my all-time favorite bands....
Shirley was the hottest woman of the 1990s, and I will never get tired of my Garbage CDs.

I still think the very first one is my favorite.

I sat next to her briefly at the San Diego Comic Con in 2008. Her presence that close to me ruptured the spacetime continuum and gave my 16-year-old self an erection.

I managed to see Garbage live at one of those big festival shows in Chicago in '96. Q101's Jamboree, to be exact. They played the second stage and I was a couple people deep in the front, close enough to see up Shirley's hot pink skirt. Also close enough to the speaker to ruin some of my hearing, but so totally worth it.

Man, looking up that line-up now I realize how awesome a day that was. Second stage: Stabbing Westward (one of my personal favs), Garbage, Girls Against Boys, Afghan Wigs, & Filter. Main stage: No Doubt, Seven Mary Three, Cracker, Korn, Candlebox, Everclear, Foo Fighters, & Cypress Hill.

Why do they not have festivals that rockin' anymore?! At least, affordable festivals.

Oh my god, Stabbing Westward! I haven't thought of them in ages and ages! I loved them too, Val. Wow, blast from the past right there. I'm gonna have to dig up that album and give it a twirl again.
