The split-diopter shot in panel 3 almost made me think it was a De Palma flick, but then I thought I remembered Holly Hunter's black and white dress...and took a chance.

That is a really DePalma-esque shot there, that's a good call, Ivan. I figured if anybody remembered anything from the movie it'd be that shot since it's so distinctive and out-of-place in the movie. It's when Holly Hunter's feeding William Hurt lines and questions through his ear-piece and he gets all turned on by it.

Such a perfect movie.

I won't argue about the flick's perfection: in fact, it's too perfect--Albert Brooks' heartbreak is too close to home for me, and I haven't seen the flick in more than a decade.
