Y At Last, Man

.
I can't quite recall the context - maybe it was news on Brian K. Vaughn? - but the adaptation of Y: The Last Man popped into my head right before the weekend and I wondered what was happening there... cue Monday morning and we have news! My brain is crazy. Via DH:

"Movement may finally be happening again on "Y: The Last Man" with director Louis Leterrier ("Clash of the Titans," "The Incredible Hulk") apparently circling the project reports Latino Review.

... The project was setup at New Line years ago but has been stuck in development hell. At last report it was actor Shia LaBeouf and director D.J. Caruso ("Disturbia," "Eagle Eye") who were said to be circling the project, but last summer LaBeouf dropped out.

Of course Leterrier, out doing press for "Clash of the Titans", is expected to be linked to several projects in coming weeks. He himself said last week that he already put his hand up to direct Marvel's "The Avengers" film if they'd offer it to him, but that project remains in very early stages as Marvel and Disney sort out their relationship."

Glad that Shia's definitely out, just so my pick, Joe Gordon Levitt, can pick it up. Come on, Joe for the win!

As for Leterrier, Transporter 2 was forgettable junk that nonetheless had plenty of shirtless Statham so that's still a plus in his column. I still haven't seen the second Hulk movie (I was quite happy with Ang Lee's version, thank you very much), but as y'all know I'm quite keen to see what he's done with Clash of the Titans. So it's a hrm we'll see, where I stand now. Better than Caruso, professional hack.
