I almost posted yesterday about the fact that Paul's leaving Parks & Rec for a supposedly possibly booming movie career, but didn't, but now that I see it's his birthday, here I am. Hooray! Says P&R's producer:
Watching last week's episode my mind drifted off at one point on this very subject - it has seemed odd to me that Paul's been on the show ever since day one, hasn't it? Shouldn't he be off doing movies with his hometown pal David Gordon Green still? I want those dudes reunited again! Anyway I love Paul long time. Happy birthday, guy!

"In the wake of Bright Star and winning a lot of awards... Paul now has this film career that is just taking off in a big way. And the movie opportunities he’s getting are incredibly cool, interesting movies, not the summer blockbuster movies that can be scheduled around TV actors when they need to be… But the goal and the aim is to have him come back as soon as his schedule permits and as soon as the arcs we’re writing call for it... He’s not going to be killed in some weird accident.”

But but but...he's some of the best eye candy on that show..NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Eh, at least it's been funny as hell this season ;o)
Adam Scott (from Party Down) is pretty adorable and he's joining the show, so maybe he'll fill Paul's vacuum. That sounds like some kind of euphemism but I don't know what for. Anyway. I like Adam Scott a lot, too.
