According to Matthew Goode in an interview, he auditioned for the part of Bilbo Baggins in The Hobbit. He doesn't seem to think a) he'll get it, and b) that he's a good pick for the part (and what a coincidence, neither do I; I'm still holding out hope for James McAvoy). But it does give me a chance to talk about Matthew Goode, which I like to do, so that's worth a moment.
