... you really ought to read Roger Ebert's recent piece on the enigmas of Michael Haneke's Caché. It helps if you've seen the film, obviously. Which, if you haven't, well just imagine me smacking you about the face and shoulders here. Choice bit from Roger:
"The past is always with us, just as it is always with Majid and Georges, whose lives have been so certainly shaped by the past. And the message of the tapes is not so much that someone is watching, but that someone sees. Who this is, and how and why it is, will change with the generations. But the sight will remain.".
