Quote of the Day

.
Everybody and their grandmothers have already posted this news breathlessly this morning, so I will step in line like a dutiful soldier and do the same, but quickly, no muss no fuss, here's something that the director Bryan Singer said to an interviewer yesterday:

"I just yesterday signed a deal to do an X-Men: First Class origins picture, which is kind of cool. I'm very excited."

And so is the world, Bryan. And so is the world.

What I like about this news, or rather, not the news itself but the way it came to be revealed, is how old-fashioned the manner in which it came to us seems already. He revealed the information to a reporter on the red carpet? But... don't people just tweet this news from the board-room where the ink's not even dried yet now? I thought that was the world we lived in. News doesn't get revealed to reporters anymore. WTF, Bryan? You hobo.

twittered or not, I thought I'd be more excited by this news. I have to see how it shapes up but it better be budget galore and I'd like a 70's 80's costuming.
