I missed this interview with my beloved Sufjan Stevens at Interview Magazine at the start of the month - in it he rambles all over the place in his usual manner about The Meaning Of Art and yadda yadda he exhausts me sometimes yadda, but he finally gets to the point:
"... most people would rather I just strum the guitar and sing and be myself. I'm terrified of just being myself because I think it's boring. I know who I really am and I think it's boring."
Sufjan, come be boring next to me. We can be boring all over each other.
