I'm sure we all saw the news this morning that Natalie Portman is set to star in the film adaptation of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, but what caught my eye was this tidbit:
Richard Kelly is producing it, and I think he ought to try to direct it. Simplicity was supposed to be the name of the game with his last movie, The Box, and we all saw how that turned out. Well no, not too many saw how it turned out. But I did. Egregious accents and water tubes and nose bleeds galore. A mess, twas. So he needs something that's actually simple. More specifically, he needs something that he's not the writer of. Ta-dah! Grab this one, Dick!

"Portman will produce through her handsomecharlie shingle with Annette Savitch, plus Darko Films’ Richard Kelly, Sean McKittrick and Ted Hamm."
