Pics of the Day

.

A Single Man director (ugh even though I liked the movie I don't like calling him a director) Tom Ford took these new snaps of four of his Single actors (via). The four being Colin Firth, Matthew Goode, Nicholas Hoult and Juli Moore (Hi Juli!) obviously. I'm fairly certain I say this every time I see him, but good goddamn Matthew Goode is attractive, isn't he? Damn, man. (As long as he's not blond and wearing a pleather chicken costume, that is. Nobody coulda made that right.) And here's more Nic Hoult here if you wanna. A Single Man is out in limited release this weekend, and I have every intention of seeing it a second time as soon as I can. And hopefully I can let my tendency towards dismissing Tom Ford dissipate. He really made a beautiful film.

I have to brag that I've met Matthew Goode every time he is mentioned. It's the law.

I want Nicholas Hoult's sweater.

And yet you're not married to him, RJ. FAIL. ;-)

I've heard some people express annoyance at Hoult's sweater (he wears it in the film), but I find it totally dreamy and would totally wear it myself if it didn't cost like five thousand dollars or whatever it is the ridiculously gorgeous costumes cost that Ford put his actors in in the film.

Really, I've only seen him in the trailer, but his outfit in that is my dream. I kind of have the same hair as him, so I can almost imagine myself wearing it.

All I can say for myself is that I was out of duct tape that day and was far too busy to conduct a proper kidnapping. Ah well

Why did Tom Ford make Colin Firth look like those annoying hipsters I see downtown very night?

I saw the film a couple of weeks ago and I'm still thinking about it and definitly want to see it again. Read the book in the 60's and want to pick it up again to see what kind of changes were made. Think it's a beautiful sweet melancholy film.
