I was just wondering what was up with Gregg Araki the other day. It's been two full years since Smiley Face got dumped straight onto DVD and five years since Mysterious Skin. But here we are this morning with a surprisingly sudden answer. Via DH:

"Roxane Mesquida, Thomas Dekker, Kelly Lynch and Rooney Mara have joined the cast of indie ensemble "Kaboom" says Reuters.

The story follows the sexual awakening of a group of college students and shooting is currently underway. The quartet joins the already cast Ann Magnuson ("Panic Room") who plays a bored Beverly Hills woman who has weekly trysts with a hunky young gigolo named Thor (Chris Zylka)

The feature marks the return of indie auteur Gregg Araki who directed such films as "Nowhere," "The Doom Generation," "Mysterious Skin" and "Splendor"."

Well taking a role in a Gregg Araki film out to quiet those gay rumors, Thomas Dekker.

And I went a'googlin' this Chris Zylka fellow playing the "young gigolo naked Thor" (good grief) and discovered he's a veteran of Hannah Montana and the 10 Things I Hate About You television show, and he looks like this:
