Anyway! In just the half an hour of the movie that I watched there was so much prettiness to be had I thought I'd grab some frames from that portion of the film as testament to this activity of mine. Bless Roger Deakins. These frames are from just the first 35 minutes! If I did a post for the entire film it would break the internet. Magic.

I include this last shot not necessarily because of its beauty (although it is nicely framed) or due to the fact that Jeremy Renner's trousers are so wonderfully snug in the places that matter (although I appreciate that fact too... I do very much appreciate Jeremy Renner's snug trousers), but rather that in watching this film the other day I took note once again of the cast of this thing and just good goddamn. I mean, look at these four: Jeremy Renner, Sam Rockwell, Garrett Dillahunt and Paul Schneider! Wow. Just wow. Make me a movie with this cast every year, world!

I think this was my favourite film of 2007. Yes, "No Country..." and "There Will Be Blood" are great too but this film seemed to get overshadowed by them and that's a damn shame! I still would have loved it even if Jeremy Renner wasn't in it (but it doesn't hurt)!
Such a great movie. How is it possible Roger Deakins doesn't have an Oscar yet? That is some serious bullshit right there.
JA, I feel asleep to this the other night too. I think it's on Showtime or the Movie Channel right now. Last night, I fell asleep to I Am Legend.
BTW: My kid says all black men possess "Black Powers," which is why it's totally feasible "A Black man would survive a horrible disaster and save any survivors."
Did you watch The Unusuals? There were several episodes with some snug Jeremy Renner trousers (and undies). I was kind of shocked they were so obviously displaying it. Made a decent show even more worth watching.
Yeah...this was easily my top pick-wait, I just double checked...I guess I put it as # 4. But I think I would push it past the other three (Ratatouille, There Will Be Blood & No Country For Old Men). Amazing, dreamy film...and that cast...
