One Shifty Box

.
Good gravy! Good gravy, I say. Proving that no release date is ever ever a solid fixed release date when it comes to a Richard Kelly film, his third flick, the Cameron Diaz and James Marsden starring thriller The Box, has been moved for what has to be the five billionth time. Sigh. Via BD:

"Warner Bros. Pictures has shifted Richard Kelly's The Box off its Halloween release to a November 6th, 2009 release. I think this is a smart move distancing itself from Lionsgate's Saw VI, which is sure to do good Halloween weekend."

UGH. Ugh to a sixth Saw film still owning Halloween. Somebody make that damn franchise go away please! I beg of the world. Rescue us from ourselves.

As long as the 17 to 21 crowd keeps going to drek like the "Saw" franchise, LionsGate will keep churnin' 'em out.
