Mourn Anew

.
The UPS delivery man just dodged a bullet - he delivered me my copy of the second and sadly final season of Pushing Daisies on DVD and my first thought, my first instinct, upon being reminded of the show's terrible, horrible, early demise... well it was to slap the UPS guy across the face.

I didn't do that.

But I thought about it.

I'm not proud. But dudes... sadness. All I'm ever gonna have (in live-action form) of Ned and Chuck and Olive and Emerson and all their assorted oddball friends and relatives is now in my possession. No more Aunts Viv and Lily, no more Digby... oh Digby... sigh.

I know I should try to be a glass-half-full type, celebrate the fact that we got to spend any time at all with a show so creatively rich and visually inventive, so delightful and sincere and funny. and sweet.. and I do. I do. Now comes the time when we all clasp hands across the globe and send good vibrations Bryan Fuller's way. May whatever is to be be as wonderful as what was.
