Oh my Christ y'all, I started watching Party Down last night and I nearly split my pants from laughing. And I wasn't even wearing pants! Seriously, is there any fucking thing Jane Lynch can't make hilarious? Her description of old-people-sex is one for the ages. "Two eggs in a tube-sock..." And then there's Ryan Hansen... oh Dick Casablancas I love you...
My Summer '09 TV habits, by the way, have gone from zilch to 100 MPH in five seconds. There are no new shows that I'm watching right now but I am playing catch-up: I already shared that I started watching True Blood this week (and no, I haven't gotten any further than those first two episodes, but I have every intention of diving further in over the weekend), and now Party Down (making two shows, including True Blood, that contain my beloved Lizzy Caplan), and once I start watching it (probably also this weekend) I've got The United States of Tara set to go. My TV is so busy all of a sudden!
I've also chosen this week as the week to start reading Neil Gaiman's The Sandman series finally. So if my movie-watching habits seem a little slow for the next couple of weeks, you do understand, right? There are only so many hours in the day! And before I even get started half of those are already booked for just staring at this:
