Pics of the Day

EW.com has got a pic-gallery devoted to some sneak-peeks at ComiCon junk, and here's a pair that grabbed my attention. First up, a new image from Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland and the first to actually make my jaw drop open:

That's lovely. It might be entering Willy Wonka visual territory (eek) but still. Lovely. I know it's probably foolish of me to hope Tim slam-dunks this one after he's been responsible for so much lousiness lately, but still. I have hope.

And secondly a new image from Park Chan-wook's Thirst:

And Park's going to be there! Eee!!!

Other stuff in the gallery includes some images from Zombieland which is looking more and more fun by the day as well as a couple pictures from Iron Man 2 which looks more and more terrible with everything I see and hear (A Russian-accented Mickey Rourke in that strappy get-up chatting with a Cockatoo, hmm?). The first one was so fucking overrated I can't say I'm not hoping for a bit of a disaster with the sequel... even if I do still like Scarlett and don't want to wish upon her more failure...
