I've yet to see any of True Blood yet, but I noticed this morning that Netflix took the first season off of my waiting list and moved it up into my queue since the DVDs are out on May 19th, so soon enough I can catch what some called inspired trash and others just called trash. Whatever; I like trash of all sorts. Especially the sort filled with this sort:
I've yet to see a single second of Ryan Kwanten act so I have no idea if he's any good at that part of his job or if he's just really comfortable shedding all of his clothes constantly. Seriously - constantly. Google his name and good lord. He hadn't really been doing it for me at first sight but then I got sucked into a vortex of him over here and now I get it. His torso comes together at his waist like a fucking action figure! It's insane, terrifying, and tremendously appealing all at once.

This show is worth it for the butt shots alone. He's naked at least once every episode :)
I watched all of the episodes in like 2 days, it is addictive. I highly recommend it.

It's totally trashy and sextacular. But sort of fun in the way that improving shows cannot be.
Seriously the best show on HBO since Six Feet Under. Yes, Ryan can act (his southern accent is better than Anna Paquin's and he's Australian!). You think he is eye candy, just wait until you see Alexander Skarsgard in a tight wife beater. LOVE me some Eric! Let us know how you enjoy the series, I am a huge fan of it as well as the books.
It truly is a trashtastic spectacle to behold. I, too, am quite addicted. It hits all the right buttons, especially the scenes with any of the male leads in a state of undress, which occur mercifully frequently! It's a little ham-fisted, but I also love the overarching gay analogy. It's a worthwhile investment of an hour (add extra minutes to pause on scenes with Ryan...)!
Yep, lots of bums in every episode. Very addictive trash that completely knows who its audience is.
True Blood is an amazing show that has you begging for more and anxiously waiting for the next episode. I highly recommend it as one of the best TV series to come on television in a long time with superb acting from Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin.
