Release the Kracken!

How appropriate that I just changed my banner to Clash of the Titans' Medusa, eh? Because word's out today on a bunch of casting news for the remake. Last we'd heard big-shit-to-be Sam Worthington, seen next in no less than Terminator: Salvation and Jim Cameron's Avatar, was been attached to don toga as Perseus (sidenote: Happy birthday Sam Worthington! If there were more pictures of you online I'd give you more love, but those have yet to be snapped apparently). But now more names have been thrown onto the Gods-fearing heap. Via BD:

"Warner Bros. and Legendary are beginning to line up their titans as Mads Mikkelsen (Quantum of Solace, Casino Royale), Gemma Arterton (Quantum of Solace) and Alexa Davalos (The Mist, The Chronicles of Riddick) are boarding "Clash of the Titans," the Greek-god epic being directed by Louis Leterrier (The Incredible Hulk, The Transporter 2)...

Mikkelsen is playing Draco, a skilled fighter and leader of the Praetorian Guard that accompanies Perseus.

Davalos is Andromeda, the captured princess, and Arterton is Io, who is instrumental in bringing the winged horse Pegasus to Perseus."
