--- All My Worrying last week was for naught - I didn't get out to see any movies except
Coraline; I was too blown out by walking around NY
ComiCon both days to even consider anything but laying very still each evening once I got home. For a round-up of some of the news to come out of
ComiCon check here; I might try and post a little on it later, even though every inch of it's been covered a thousand different ways already elsewhere.
---To Cut Or Not To Cut - I guess Sam Raimi is
testing two different cuts of
Drag Me To Hell - one is PG-13 and one is R. Which way will Mr. Raimi go? I think we all know what I'd prefer, but since nobody's asking me, I'll just sit here and wish with all my fingers clenched into knots.
--- Casting is
filling in on Werner Herzog's next fiction film - it's called
My Son, My Son, What Have Ye Done?, and it's "loosely" based on that true story about that guy that went nuts and killed his mother with a sword. The cast-list so far: Michael Shannon, Willem Dafoe, Chloe Sevigny, Michael Pena, Brad Dourif. They had me at Michael Shannon. Oh hell, they had me at Herzog.
--- Is Annie Hathaway going to
co-star in Stephen Chow's next flick? Some people seem to think so. That'd rock.

Did you pick up any comics?
I can never buy anything at these things. I'm too overwhelmed. I mean, I'm not the most educated comics consumer as it is, basically I just wait for someone to recommend something to me specifically and then I try it, but throwing me into a ComiCon type situation is just the antithesis of my being able to learn anything... my eyes just glaze over and I wander the aisles for hours. So not terribly productive. But fun nonetheless.
