I Am Link

.
--- Bye Bye To The People-Eating-Fish, For Now - Alex Aja's Pirahna 3D has been moved to March of next year, not surprisingly, since as far as I can tell he's barely filmed anything yet and it was supposed to come out in July.

--- Whither The Other Mother - My heart skips a beat every time an ad for Coraline airs on the telly... so psyched to see this one. Via AICN comes a new trailer for the flick, this one deemed Henry Selick's favorite trailer yet because apparently it's most indicative of the film's tone.

--- Neil, Meet Neil - And speaking of Gaiman adaptations, the director Neil Jordon is apparently in talks to film The Graveyard Book, which is sort of a delightful spin on The Jungle Book... only set in a graveyard with the abandoned child being raised by ghouls instead of wild animals. So happy that Gaiman's on an adaptation run these days, his books are eminently worthy.

--- And Another Neil - This time we're talking Neil LaBute, who is going to direct a remake of the two-year old Brit comedy Death At A Funeral. And why am I posting this exactly? Because it reminds me of naked Alan Tudyk (Firefly's Wash) and allows me to re-post a favorite picture, that's why.

Did you hear that Neil Gaiman won the 2009 Newberry Medal for The Graveyard Book. See the announcement here.

So clearly LaBute didn't learn anything about adapting British films for America. Ugh.

It'll be interesting to see how the remake does here in Australia since the original Funeral was absolutely massive at the box office here.
