"Beth Grant has reprised her [Wonderfalls] role as Marianne Marie Beetle in our eighth episode. She competes with her muffins against Ned and Olive and their pies in a Comfort Food Cook-Off and it's really f-ing funny and one of my favorite episodes for all sorts of reasons, not the least of which is Kristin Chenoweth's rendition of the Bangles' "Eternal Flame."
Speaking of network notes on risque bits, we got one for this episode regarding a cast member's risque bits during a slow motion sprint."
Naked somebody. Beth Grant. Chenoweth singing The fucking Bangles. I feel like calling up my grandmother and asking her for a few of her heart pills to chew up and mix with bourbon right now because I cannot fucking take the anticipation.
That picture of Mr. Pace up top isn't from tonight's episode - indeed I haven't been able to find any pictures from tonight's episode online - but rather just an incredibly silly shot from some magazine that I couldn't resist posting.

Pushing Daisies is on tonight at 8pm on ABC.

I think it was the best of the season. Kristin belting it out, running in slo-mo, pining for Ned, Chuck being duplicitous, Emerson's fantastic little tirade, the aunts at full throttle.
All that was missing was the twins showing up in matching speedos and frolicking with Ned on the beach. Oh, and Olive announcing at the end that the cancellation was just a red herring and they've decided to renew it for at least three more seasons.
I'm not sure it was the best ever but it was pretty damn great. I love how absolutely morbid/hilarious the self-nibbling was. I'm delicious.
HAHA
