It'd been awhile since I'd heard anything on the second teaming between director Rob Schmidt and actress Eliza Dushku (their first collaboration was the decent inbred-killers flick Wrong Turn) - it's called The Alphabet Killer and based off of a true-crime case from the 70s in my hometown; it was filmed there last year. Well, an update comes via Fangoria today:
"Fango has learned that Anchor Bay Entertainment has nabbed the North American distribution rights to director Rob Schmidt's THE ALPHABET KILLER, the fact-based serial-killer movie ...
No DVD date is set yet, but ALPHABET KILLER will first receive a regional/limited theatrical release beginning in December."
I love Eliza, but I'm most excited to see if Rochester gets any visual appreciation. It's a pretty city, y'all. Littered with corpses, even more so.
