I know, I know, it's not like Cate Blanchett is exactly starving for more accolades these days. But I always forget how very much I liked her in her small role in The Talented Mr. Ripley. I guess I'm always so distracted by... other things... when I think of the movie, but this is one of my favorite performances of hers, and it always goes unmentioned (even by me!).

I saw her in Notes on a Scandal (really good in that) but she was amazing in her Oscar winning role in The Aviator where she played Katherine Hepburn.
