Battlestar Galactica Is 30

.
I've still never seen any of the original 1978 Battlestar series, or the post-cancellation spin-off Galactica 1980 - I know, bad geek! Bad geek! - but my love for the current SciFi incarnation knows no bounds - obviously. Today marks 30 blessed years of the franchise, and there's a tribute to all of the different incarnations over at AICN which is worth checking out, especially you've got nostalgia for the older shows.

But the best BSG related thing I've seen today is this website's exclusive look at the "Cast and Crew' Coffee Table Book," which was something given only to the people who worked on the current SciFi series when the show wrapped filming earlier this year. Apparently it's filled with personal reminisces and stories by all sorts of people involved on the show, as well as photos and assorted BSG-related geekery that fans like me salivate over staring at and desiring for our very own. Here are a couple of the scans:

Check that link for loads more.

So... who do I have to blow to get my hands on a copy?
Jamie Bamber, you say? DONE.

I haven't seen any of the old BG, but I have seen the old BG collector's edition glasses. And while I appreciate diversifying the cast gender-wise, why did they get rid of all the black people? I don't understand why there aren't any black people on that show. One dead priest and a cylon isn't that impressive.

Oh bless, looking at a few of those pages made me get all emotional! I am gonna BLUB more than I did whilst watching the last 10 minutes of Six Feet Under when this magnificent show's conclusion is finally aired...
