Could the animated Buffy series actually happen? MTV Movies Blog is stirring up the hopes of geeks like me that it could by bringing up that 3-minute clip from the series that leaked online at the start of August and an online petition to make the show happen, as well as getting this quote from Jeph Loeb, the man who would've oversaw the show beside Whedon:“The best Buffy stories are ones of resurrection... Everything still exists — the designs, the scripts. It’s such a ‘no-duh’ project, so why the hell not? All you need is to draw it. Eight years ago, there was no fascination with ‘Family Guy’ or ‘Robot Chicken,’ but there’s an audience now that could drive to it. You can’t stand in the way of pop culture.”
He's right of course - there really is no reason that this couldn't happen - but basically, there's no real news here. Just hope! But Morgan Freeman once taught me to hope, so I'm good. The louder the sound we all make, the more... loud the sound will be! Clang clang clang!
