... is seeing Rear Window on the big screen. Bless you MoMA, you glorious movie-lover's paradise. I've seen so few of Hitch's flicks on a big screen - honestly, the only other one I can remember catching is Vertigo back when they cleaned up the print in the late 90s - but I had to take advantage when I saw My Favorite Movie Ever was playing yesterday.
And twas bliss. Lord knows I've seen the movie so many times I have it memorized, but seeing it huge in front of me was almost like seeing it for the first time. So many tiny details, mostly with regards to that glorious set, revealed themselves. So much was missed only having seen it on a small screen before. I mean... this shot took my breath away before, but imagine this a story high:
