What What WHAT?

Ya know... I've kinda been ignoring news about Jennifer's Body, writer Diablo Cody's horror follow-up to Juno (actually written before Juno, but now being produced due to Juno's success), because to be honest I was just sick all the Cody talk in the Fall. We love her, we hate her! Ack. Also, Body stars Megan Fox, which means nothing to me because I am homosexual. But now... this news... via BD...

"Full 'Jennifer's Body' Cast is Quite Interesting...

We learned today via the IMDB that the awesome Amy Sedaris (Strangers with Candy), along with Chris Pratt (Wanted), Juno Ruddell, Kyle Gallner (The Haunting in Connecticut, Red), Aman Johal (Juno), Nicole Leduc ("Fear Itself"), Josh Emerson, Michael Brock, Megan Danso, Ryan Levine, Sal Cortez and Megan Charpentier have all joined Johnny Simmons, Megan Fox, Amanda Seyfried, Adam Brody and J.K. Simmons in Fox Atomic's Jennifer's Body, which is currently lensing in Vancouver, Canada. ... The film is the story of a cheerleader who is possessed by a demon and starts feeding off the boys in a Minnesota farming town. Her "plain Jane" best friend must kill her, then escape from a correctional facility to go after the Satan-worshiping rock band responsible for the transformation."

The only bit that matters from that entire paragraph are the first eleven words - AMY SEDARIS! The sound of her name is always like somebody invented a smiley-faced firework that causes an orgasm to my ears. Or whatever; it makes me happy.

Although... one more thing... that plot description... is that shit for real? Jesus.

It's got Amy Sedaris - I'm there. And it can't be worse than a lot of the schlock crap that has been put out lately. I'm thinking cult classic.

I'm always wary of movies that feel like they're trying to be cult classics. Cabin Fever being a prime example. The only person off the top of my head who's been able to pull that off has been Edgar Wright. That being said, I will totally see this movie.

I was going to say the same thing as Joe. This sounds like it's trying WAY too hard. But yeah, I'll totally be seeing it. I can never say no to Amy.
