I'll be heading up to New Canaan Haven, Connecticut this weekend to visit some friends - will that be the sight awaiting me once I de-board the train? I've got my delusional fingers crossed. Why can't everything be like an Ang Lee movie? Oh right - we'd all be dead and/or terribly repressed and damaged.

Yeah, The Ice Storm is a great movie. I don't know about repressed, but in a depressing situation definitely. But the only other Ang Lee movie I've seen was Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, which was, IMHO, a complete bore, so I'm not well-versed in the Ang-Lee-iverse.
