Quote of the Day

.
BD got in touch with Mr. Krueger himself, Robert Englund, and asked him what he thought of the Nightmare on Elm Street remake that's being planned. He was terrifically reasonable on the subject - far more than I'd have been in his place. I guess he's a seasoned pro and all, while I'm just a bitter fan-boy. Sigh. Anyway, here's a snippet of what he said:

"I wouldn’t mind playing a cameo; it would be interesting to see if I could play the dream psychiatrist, I have heard that there is an interesting script regarding a prequel to the original going around. But lets face it I’m not a kid anymore; I have done a variety of films in many genres. I came out of that makeup after 10 years, and after I did a whole bunch of different films I did Freddy vs. Jason and have been real busy since. I could probably don the makeup, but they would certainly need a stunt double for the action stuff. I’m only good for about one take; then I get kind of sore."

He has a lot more to say on the subject, check it ast BD. He goes on to name Scott Glosserman, the director of Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon, as a talented up-and-comer that ought to be considered for the job, and... I swear if Glosserman did get it, I'd shit myself with glee. Hmm, do they make adult diapers that hold all the glee in? I wouldn't want glee running down my inner thigh.

God that was gross, sorry.

Ah, I don't care if they remake A Nightmare on Elm Street. I just won't watch it. I mean, I love the original: Heather Langenkamp couldn't act to save her life ("How can you say I don't take her death seriously?" Hilarious delivery!), and you've got Johnny Depp in tight jeans. What's not to love?
