Dear Dead Diary

.

That's the poster for George A. Romero's Diary of the Dead there above, and... it's okay. It's not blowing my mind, but I don't hate it either.

And below are some stills, from this large gallery here (found via BD), that are actually exciting me, but mostly because divorced from any context they just seem delightfully silly.

Dude, that last one looks like it was taken from the season of Dancing With The Stars when they start letting the Undead participate. "And here's Bub the Zombie and his partner performing the Rumba!" I wish I lived in that world.

that 1st picture is stupid. Why is he shooting the zombie as it kills him?

looked at that one closer, rj, and I think I know what's going on. What struck me about it was how bad the zombie make-up was; and then I remembered - the movie begins with a group of kids making their own horror movie! So I'm guessing that shot is of a fake zombie, an actor, from their own low-budget film, before the actual real zombies appear. Problem solved! ;-)

wow. Never even crossed my mind.

And you seem to be a classy drunk Mr. Bourbon.

That's probably the first and the last time I'll ever be called "classy"... so much appreciated rj. ;-)

I love the picture of the zombie being stunned with the resuscitation paddles.

I think I've found my new desk top background!
