So Say I All

I'm doing reverse psychology voodoo on myself with this post - whenever I post that my brain feels frazzled and I'm not sure how much posting I'll get done within a day, I always end up posting even more than usual. So this is me "saying" it'll be a day of light posting, in hopes that this "voodoo" (that I do, so well, it's a spell, hell) will work its wonders and snap me outta my morning funk. Though now reverse-reverse psychology will kick in and we're all screwed; that's how the world ends.

Gah my brain hurts. But here's some pretty pretty I forgot to post on last week; from here comes this gorgeous set of faux-propoganda posters for Battlestar Galactica, i.e. the perfect gift for that hard-to-buy-for nerd in your life (though really, is there anyone easier to buy for than a nerd? Believe me, I speak from experience; I am the simplest person to buy gifts for in the known universe). I love how the corners are clipped just like all paper-products in the show are - the cheapest version of "this isn't your world" imagery from the show that makes us giggle every time we see it:

I consider myself super easy to buy for, but most of my friends and family disagree. They're not entirely sure what I already have to prevent them from doubling up, and they're not certain about the nuances of what I want. For example, they might know I like horror movies, but they can't tell the difference between the Saw Trilogy and the Vincent Price box set, or if they do they assume I wouldn't like something older.

At the end of the day I'm usually happy to get something I would never think to get myself. I've been introduced to really great things that way.
