Sufjan Stevens' BQE show started its three-night run at the Brooklyn Academy of Music last night... I'm not going because tickets disappeared before I even remembered they were on sale, and yes, I am bitter. I guess I'll just have to content myself remembering the good times we had, Suffy... all the times you've stood two feet away from me at shows around town and I've been too chicken to say anything to you being "the good times," of course.
In related news, he's (thankfully) shaven off his beard:
And he works magic with a hula hoop, apparently. Stereogum and BrooklynVegan both have posts up on the show. It's about time we got word of a new album, ain't it, Suffy? I need a studio version of "Majesty Snowbird" dammit.
