I Am Link

--- I've been convinced that I'll be seeing Cassandra's Dream ever since Woody Allen signed Colin Farrell and Ewan McGregor to play brothers (I'm easy, ya know). And now there's a trailer (via Cinematical) to further cement my commitment.

--- See the entire filmography (almost) of David Cronenberg in just 12 minutes! Jim Emerson assembled a nifty lil' montage that takes you through the highlights of the director's forty year career.

--- Black Christmas - The NY Times takes a look at just how blood-spattered this holiday season at the movies will be. Yay blood!

--- When Glenn and I agree, we really agree: Lovin' his Death Proof-inspired love-fest for all-things Tarantino today.

--- A 99 Redux - Nat wonders if too much atypical quality cinema (think No Country For Old Men and There Will Be Blood, specifically) will overwhelm the Academy this year and they'll just toss their hands in the air and nominate an equivalent to tripe like The Cider House Rules like they did back in 1999, a primo year for quality films that the Academy ended up snubbing. The real surprise seems to be when they get something right though, so I ain't holding my breath.

--- Just cuz - An Indian toddler with eight limbs is believed to be the reincarnation of the goddess Vishnu.
