Via Reuters:"During debate on Thursday in the U.S. House of Representatives on a Democratic-backed bill -- which President George W. Bush vetoed -- to expand health care for children from low-income families, [California Democratic Rep. Pete] Stark lectured Republicans:
"You don't have money to fund the (Iraq) war or children. But you're going to spend it to blow up innocent people -- if we can get enough kids to grow old enough for you to send to Iraq to get their heads blown off for the president's amusement.""
How wonderful is it to hear someone really stand up to the hypocritical Republicans for a change? They're having a meltdown over this, so y'all ought to send Rep. Stark a note of appreciation, let him know he doesn't have to aplogize. They all ought to be ashamed.
