Transsiberian's Trailer

Director Brad Anderson previously made Session 9 and The Machinist, two terrifically atmospheric and smart horror films - the former succeeding more only because there wasn't a horrifyingly gaunt Christian Bale distracting in every frame - so hook him up with a top-notch cast that includes Emily Mortimer (yay!), Woody Harrelson, Ben Kingsley, Kata Mara (yay times two!), alongside hunks Eduardo Noriega and Thomas Kretschmann, and you can bet your bottom dollar I'm psyched.

Transsiberian is described by IMDb simply:

"An American couple (Harrelson and Mortimer) traveling on the Trans-Siberian Railway from China to Moscow become pulled into a mysterious journey filled with deception and murder."

You can watch the trailer for the film over here or with slightly less quality at BD. The trailer ends strangely with the words "In Production," though it looks pretty damned finished with all the footage the trailer shows. Though there is no release date listed as of yet.

And my apologies, but I'm in too much of a fog this morning to be taking screen-captures from something not in big HD. Eye strain, ugh. Need caffeine...

From what I can gather, Ben Kingsley is a cop; Thomas and Eduardo and Kate are evil drug smugglers (and Kate Mara evil is an amzing thought). Plus, Emily Mortimer is there with a great American accent looking terrified so...I'm 100% there.

Seriously, I hope I'm right and Kate Mara is a sexy, evil bitch in this. It's time for her to stop playing cheerleaders.

Everyone associated with Brokeback has a free-pass for life, they can do whatever the hell they want to, and I will love them forever; that said, Kate Mara, and I'm not sure why, holds an especially dear place in my heart, I guess it's because she was so damned good in Brokeback but got hardly any recognition, so I too hope she has a juicy role here.

Em will get me to see anything. Even if she were in Hostel Part III (which doesn't make any sense, but go with it), that's how much I love her. That's probably a wet dream for you though... (lol)
