I Am Link

--- Sweet! That Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash movie that was rumored awhile back but is never getting made? The treatment for the screenplay is being turned into a comic book series. MUST GET IT.

There's an interview at that link with Jeff Katz, who wrote the treatment, about what went wrong with the movie never getting made - Bruce was in! Dammit! - and what it all would've been about and now will be about only in comic-book form. I am so buying this. (found via filmick)

--- Jamie Lite - There's an interview with Scout Taylor-Compton - the unlucky lass designated to fill Jaime Lee Curtis' shoes in Rob Zombie's Halloween remake - up right here. On taking over the iconic role of Laurie Strode, she says:

"I was being compared to this icon, and I hadn’t even started shooting. So I was scared as hell, but going on set, Rob kind of calmed me down a little bit, and working with Danielle, and Rob saying, “You’re attached to this. You’re family now, and some people are gonna like you, some people aren’t.” So I just kind of let it go. You know, you kind of have to in this business. Everybody’s gonna compare you to somebody eventually."

Especially if you keep taking roles in remakes! Next on her plate? The April Fool's Day remake, of course. Somebody's gunning for the title of Remake Scream Queen!

--- Speaking of interviews with random unknown actors in upcoming horror films, Fangoria has got an interview with Shawn Roberts, who was in Land of the Dead, apparently, and will be in Romero's next zombie flick Diary of the Dead. Working with Romero twice! Lucky bastard.

Also, he's apparently garnering the title of "Horror Hunk." I can see it.

--- Hey you! Wanna see The Golden Compass right this second? You sorta (a strong emphasis on "sorta") can! Head over to HDM.org and they've got up:

"the preproduction movie of The Golden Compass. It's basically a run-through of the whole movie before — as the title implies — any shooting was done, so the material consists of storyboard sketches, scene tests, and preliminary CGI. It provides a wonderful view into how the movie was out together, and come to life. Be warned, this 27 minute movie contains spoilers for those unfamiliar with the storyline."

You rock, sora. And now I really never have to see the movie itself! I love the internets.

An April Fools Day remake? God, why? Are we already running out of good movies? Besides, don't we all kind of KNOW the end already?
