I Am Afraid

I know I'm just getting my sanity about me and the posting again after the serious spazz-attack of the past few weeks, but the news I briefly glimpsed over at Cinematical right now might drive me off the internet for at least a week.

That isn't even a direct link to it, and I didn't even look at the article long enough to read what it said, but the gist via the headline is that all the details for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the seventh and final book that's out officially this weekend, have leaked online, and knowing how these things go, I'm inevitably going to stumble upon something somewhere if I go to the usual places I go to.

I am scared! I don't want any spoilers. Even posting this I'm nervous; best not draw attention to my need for a clean slate, right? Agh! What do I do? Am I gonna have to get all Final Destination and hide in a cabin with no electricity until I have the book in my hands? Cuz I'll do it; I swear I will. I'll carve out the belly of a yak and spend the next four days inside it if I have to.

Not sure why yak-gutting is the answer I arrive at, but it'll do in a pinch.

I know, rj! It just occurred to me a minute ago I should just turn off the comments on everything til Saturday and not check my email and.. basically lock myself in a closet. I dunno if that'll be necessary, I hope not... fingers crossed!

I stayed off the internet for two days before the book came out, and brought an iPod to B&N on the off-chance that I might accidentally overhear someone talking about the book. Luckily, I managed to make it without seeing/hearing any spoilers.
