I'd been looking for any excuse to post some pictures of Jared Padalecki - specifically that "I'm a car mechanic!" shoot, cuz HOT - and none was coming to me, but thankfully it's his birthday today so I'll just use that. Even though I hate Supernatural - the CW TV show he's on - and have never been given any reason to think he's even passably talented as an actor - strangely enough, no, House of Wax doesn't count. I suppose maybe we'll see what he's got, talent-wise, when he slides into painter Thomas Kinkade's shoes in The Christmas Cottage (a name - and a painting - that makes me break out in hives), or not, who the eff knows (or cares)... But til then, there's nothing wrong with just turning off the "reason" side of one's brain and just being straight-up lascivious, right? Right?

Yeah, he's hot!
I have been lusting after Jared Padalecki since he first picked up Rory's books on Gilmore Girls. And, despite my following his career (oh, who am I kidding, I was following his abs), I have never seen this set of mechanic's pictures. So, thank you Ja, I will now get no work done today (and have a new background on my computer!) :)

Why do you hate Supernatural?
I love Supernatural- I never miss an episode. It's so fun and thrilling.
I am so happy that it has been renewed.
Though, I must admit that I am a Jensen Ackles man more!
Well, to be honest, re: Supernatural, I haven't exactly given it a totally fair chance - I've only tried to watch it twice and neither time did it grab me enough to make me want to watch it again. In fact, both times I thought it sucked. I try to refrain from saying a show sucks based on as little evidence as I have, but Supernatural has strikes against it outside of things it can help that I hold against it that push me to the "hate" camp - namely, it's on The CW and keeps getting renewed while Veronica Mars, a show I ADORED, struggled and got cancelled. I hold VM's cancellation aganst everything on the CW actually. And half the population of Planet Earth too.
Look at it this way, JA. The CW has proven that Veronica Mars is forever genius by canceling it. So many cult shows, so little time. Yet Friends last 10 years. The world sucks sometimes.
I've never particularly liked Jared. As I've made mention many times before, I like my unattainable movie and tv stars to not be so vanilla. But those mechanic pictures sure are lusty.
When I used to watch Gilmore Girls (back when it was good) I always much much preferred Milo Ventimiglia. So much so that it's annoying now that everyone's all "omg he's so hot" because he's on Heroes when actually his hair is really terrible.
...that is all.
Not only do I think Jared Padalecki is a talented actor, he's incredibly charming. I enjoy the role he plays on Supernatural -- a show I happen to enjoy and promote (among my friends).
Jensen Ackles (brother Dean) really adds to the chemistry of the show -- not to mention he is extremely good looking and funny.
I think they are both great actors with a promising future.
Now I am off to see Charlie Bartlett run down the street in his underwear. Be sure to forward that photo to me when you get it.

JA.. it depends on the episodes you have seen... i n ever meiss an episode but i have to admit that the first half of season three sucked. there were a few episodes in season one and two that totally sucked and shouldnt have ever even been written.. but its great despite being on the cw... it pushes the boundaries of censorship.. man there were some pretty gory scenes that i could barely watch.. like the time a dude fell on his table saw.. GOD! but give it a shot... you might be surprised by jared's performance too!

I don't remember an episode where he was half naked or a mechanic! I wish I had seen it.. I thought i had seen them all, as i am a big fan of the show. Ok, I really just love to watch him. It's a good show.. but the actors are eye candy. lol. <3
I saw Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles working out and swimming at the pool on the weekend. Jared Padalecki is ripped! He is so much more muscular and taller in person than in the pics and on TV. He was hot!
