I Am Friday's Brief Link

--- Rochester mayhem! My college-town home is the setting for The Alphabet Killer (spoken of by me previously right here) director Robert Schmidt's follow-up to the not-half-bad Wrong Turn, and like WT, TAK stars Faith Eliza Dushku. There's now a website and a trailer that you can view over at BD. And there at the left is the poster! It's based on a real-life series of murders in Rochester, NY back in the 70s. And because it's home and because it stars Faith, I'll probably talk more about this in the future.

--- Striking while the iron (and by "iron," I mean "his ass") is hot - Gerard Butler's lining up all sorts of projects in the wake of 300's mega-success; according to DH, he'll be starring opposite Jodie Foster (!) and Abagail Breslin (!) in the kid's aventure film Nim's Island, and he'll be playing young Sean Connery in Brian DePalma's prequel to The Untouchables, called Capone Rising. Add on the rumored remake of Escape From New York and something called Game which was announced yesterday, and he's one hot (ass) property.

--- Others vs. Heroes! Sean directs us to this interview at Wizard with Lost co-creator Damon Lindelof and Heroes creator Tim Kring. I don't watch Heroes (I know! But I'll totally get the DVDs when they come out) so I'll just not pay attention to whatever's said regarding his show, but my ears always perk up when one of the men behind the Dharma curtain speak.

--- White witches and Pumpkin heads - JoBlo's got a massive bunch of stills from Trick'r'Treat, Mike Dougherty's multi-story horror film which I am super-duper excited for.

In fact, I'll probably post a couple of these later today because they're "pic of the day" material, but for now head on over and check 'em out. You can see stars Dylan Baker, Anna Paquin and to the left there it's Helo! Tahmoh Penikett from Battlestar Galactica, that is. Awesomeness all around.

Really I'd just pleasantly forgotten she existed. SO THANKS FOR REMINDING ME OF HER. ;-)

I've solved it. Gerard Butler and Thomas Jane have the same stylist. This explains why they both dress like ass, no pun intended
