Happy BSG News!

Well, mostly happy. From AICN:

"Battlestar Galactica's fourth season, which officially launches in early 2008, has grown from 13 to 22 episodes. SciFi will formally announce as much Thursday.

From TVWeek.com:

The order will include a special two-hour Battlestar event to air during the fourth quarter of 2007 on Sci Fi, and will also be released on DVD.

The two-hour "event" is said to deal with the Battlestar Pegasus shortly after the start of Cylon War II.

Season three concludes Sunday.

I say "mostly happy" because honestly I'd kind of adjusted myself to the thought of a shorter season; especially after the mediocrity of a few of these mid-season episodes, I'd begin to think that maybe a tighter season would help them keep focus.

But then, who am I to deny more BSG? Even when it's mediocre it's better then a lot of junk on TV.

The super-good news is the two-hour movie event; having to wait all the way until next January for anything BSG-related was giving me the vapors, so a respite in the Fall in the form of this movie sounds grand. And I did enjoy the Pegasus episodes (though not quite as crazed about them as some BSG-fans seem to have been), so it will be cool to see what their deal was post-attack.
