Remembering Ruth Gordon

Ruth Gordon is one of those actors that I wish could've lived forever. We'd be so lucky to still have her around now, showing up with that distinctive cackle of a voice, piling on too much make-up and barking at the screen. Funny thing is, I think I've only seen her in two films - Rosemary's Baby and Harold & Maude - yet she's etched a deep place in my memory.

Why am I rambling about ol' Ruth? Cinematical points out she died on this day in 1985, and writer Jette Kernion gives a lovely little ode to the woman.

I think I'm going to go learn voodoo and see if we can't trade like Kate Bosworth's soul in for Ruth's return. We're owed that much!
