Seriously, if you're not watching Big Brother : All Stars you are missing Greatness. Last night's episode had so many highlights it might just have been the greatest hour of reality television ever manufactured. It made me laugh, cry, scream, the full gamut.
First we were told, over and over again, what dire straits Chicken George was in; that there was no way he'd survive the week up against Dr. Will. Now how this has come to be the case I will never understand. They're falling for the same trap Will set in his original season - everyone thinks he's the threat everyone else is gunning for, so they're safe as long as Will's prancing around with a target on himself. Problem is, if everyone's thinking everyone else is targeting Will, then... nobody is. Duh! Pull yourselves together, people!
But then George won The Golden Power of Veto (in a competetion designed for him to win, but is still the greatest competetion ever - they have to dye themselves blue, shave their heads, give up a chance at Veto the next week, and finally George only wins when he agrees to eat slop for the rest of his time in the house, which could be 60 days!) and threw everyone's plans into complete disarray.
Yet, somehow, no one's talking about targeting Will, still! WTF? The big issue becomes who they'll get rid instead of George now, as if getting rid of Will just ain't an option.
The Season 6 alliance, who are running things, decides to oust Jase, who's been playing both sides of the house. Jase completely freaks out, starts throwing things all over the backyard and gets in a hilarious screaming contest with Resident-Queen Marcellas.
Then comes the Veto Ceremony, where each nominated houseguest gets to plead their case, as if it's not a foregone conclusion that George is going to use the Veto on himself. The man's eating slop for 60 days, I think he's gonna use the thing.
But it gives Will the chance to speak and... and... Will, as always, does not disappoint. The man gives Great TV. I wish I could find a transcript of his speech, I'll keep looking and post it if I do, but the basic gist is as follows: He hates every single one of them in the house, they are all jackasses if they don't vote him out right now, and if they don't vote him out he will throw every single competition he plays and therefore probably forcing them to eat slop as much as he can possibly manage.
And ya know what? The episode ends with them still talking about not kicking his ass out!
Anyway, after Will gives The Greatest Speech Ever, George comes on like the big sentimental dope he is and starts to cry and says he likes everyone there, that he's honored to be playing among them, and that he will, of course, be using the veto on himself. And Jase goes up, and we shall learn Thursday night who goes.
I'm telling you, I will not be surprised if Will goes, indeed they are jackasses if they don't kick his ass out. But I really think it's completely possible that they're kicking Jase out. Goddamn fools.
