I don't know what took the morons at Warner Brothers so long to finally recast Gary Oldman for the fifth Harry Potter movie, since they've been filming for weeks now and his character, Sirius Black, is integral to the plot of the fifth book, but they finally did get off their duffs and made it happen, thankfully.

"Gary Oldman's manager Douglas Urbanski has confirmed that the actor is now set to reprise his role as Sirius Black in "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix", a deal having been concluded this morning.

The news ends months-long confusion and speculation about the role as Warners has remained surprisingly quiet on the whole issue of Oldman returning to the role despite very vocal and public commentary from fans to Oldman's manager himself.

"I'm so relieved and happy. I can't put my mind in the place of the producers, but I would've thought that when they read the book, a call to us would've been very high on their list. Obviously, the character of Sirius Black is key" said Urbanski to HPANA.

He added that despite the odd silence, things have progressed smoothly - "It was the most mature, simple and friendly negotiation that I've ever done. It's a wonderful role. Gary read the script last night, and he read part of it to me on the phone this morning. The end of the story is: Gary's in it. It's a terrific script, and he's so happy to be back"."
